The project addresses the growing global housing demand amid labor shortages by proposing microhomes constructed using inflatable formwork technology. This innovative approach accelerates construction, reduces carbon emissions, and emphasizes both aesthetics and durability. The design is inspired by Bentley’s focus on precision, craftsmanship, and innovation, integrating advanced construction methods with timeless architectural beauty.
Divided into three primary zones—rest, eat, and sleep—the microhome layout contrasts with typical open-plan designs to enhance well-being and order. The curvilinear, ribbed structure not only strengthens the building but also creates a distinctive architectural identity. Inflatable formwork ensures precision, reduces costs, and maintains high standards of quality and sustainability, mirroring Bentley’s meticulous design ethos.
The microhome also features a private garden, visible from all areas, promoting self-sufficiency and connection with nature. Scalable modular designs allow for larger homes, supporting community development and environmental responsibility through low-carbon concrete and reusable materials.
This proposal reimagines housing by blending rapid construction, comfort, and sustainability, aligning with Bentley’s commitment to luxury, innovation, and environmental stewardship, while setting a new standard for future living spaces.
